Flaming Burrito Grill: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Auburn, CA

The owners are the sweetest people! I went twice to the restaurant while on my trip. I had the enchiladas and the avocado salad with carnitas. Both were delicious and brought out to me quickly. I would highly recommend this to locals and any visitors to the area!

The gigante grilled chicken burrito was really good and quite large. It was smothered with a very mild red chili sauce and cheese and filled from end to end with tasty ingredients. The service was very polite and helpful. The number of seats are fairly limited so groups or families may have difficulty finding a way to sit together. The interior is somewhat plain.

Flaming Burrito Grill is definitely the most delicious Mexican restaurant in Auburn. The chef is on point. The plates are full of meat, rather than being stacked with rice and beans at other places, and the presentation of the meals is also well done. So, if you are coming here, expect good food. The service gets 3 stars for two reasons. First, there is no chip bar, and you will pretty much only get one small thing of chips during your stay here. Second, the cost of the menu, although not outrageous, is still slightly more than a typical competitor Mexican restaurant. (Say compared to El Portal also here in Auburn.) For example, we took our two small children to the restaurant and ordered a side of chicken. It was $12.00 for this small amount of food. Now, I'd love to give a higher service rating due to the chef, who has come out to our table on one of my other visits and checked on our table. He is friendly and definitely good at his craft. Overall, this is not a terribly busy restaurant with definitely delicious meals!

The food is excellent. They don't skimp on the ingredients. Best burrito in Auburn.

We ordered Grilled Chicken Super Burrito and Carne Asada Quesadilla. Both were great. Chicken was very tender and tasty. Quesadilla came with real steak meat; it was really great. First time I have seen a real steak meat used in the dish. Keep it up!!! I recommend Quesadilla; you will not regret. Chips are very good too. Salsa bar is super nice and tasty. Good clean place, great customer service!!!!! Keep up great work!!!

Yum yum yum! Had the combo fajitas - chicken n steak. Steak was flavorful. Hot salsa was hot but good! Chips were hot n fresh!

I went there for the first time and I was really impressed. I appreciate the vegetarian options and the California Veggie Fajita Burrito was delicious! You can tell that care and love goes into the food. I will be back very soon!

My boyfriend and I love this place!! The owners are super nice and very welcoming everytime. The food is extremely good!
